Short description: In our rural region, financing public mobility services is very expensive, due to the large area that has to be served. We are looking for innovative solutions for economically viable offers to ensure a comprehensive mobility supply for population and tourists.
Market potential: The solution provides an important benefit for the valorisation of the entire region (attractiveness, public services, life quality) and offers inputs to other rural regions with similar challenges.
Timing: The challenge can start at any time. The solution should be developed and provided to the challenge owner in 2022-2023. The ideas should lead to demand-side acceptance and use of the new offers.
Desired result: Ideas for new or improved, target-group-oriented mobility offers and cost-covering financing options should result in a mobility concept for the region. Offers especially for tourists (e.g. offers in high season, renouncement of arrival by car) and commuters (operational mobility) are desired.
