The solution developed by Inero will provide the challenge owner with the visibility of the supply chain, making it much easier for port authorities to monitor the current state of the supply chain in the port area and in the immediate vicinity, with the following benefits:
- the ability to monitor traffic in the immediate vicinity of the port
- the ability to identify bottlenecks in the supply chain
- the ability to generate reports and increase security in the port area and in its immediate vicinity
- increasing the capacity of notification systems in the port
The biggest challenge of the project was to provide tools for integrating data from location systems used by different shippers. The main problem turned out to be the need to create dedicated mini-APIs (referred to as drivers within the project) for each location system used by the carrier.
The solution proposed by the team is highly valuable for shippers and transport intermediaries as it enables users to seamlessly combine location data from different systems without requiring additional implementation or user involvement. The innovation of the solution lies in relieving the system user from the burden of transferring location data between systems. Instead, they simply provide a link to the shared position, and the rest of the work is handled by the software.
As a result, the position of the vehicle is visible on the map within the user interface of the DeliverM8-Integrator system
