George Havaris

George Havaris is a Canadian (of Greek decent) and a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England and Wales. He is a corporate and banking lawyer with extensive experience working on cross-border M&A and financing transactions (a recommended lawyer in 2023 by the Legal 500 for Banking/Finance and Private Equity).

George is a Partner at the law firm B2R Law (Warsaw office). Prior to moving to Poland, George worked in Linklaters LLP’s London office, where he worked in the Corporate and Banking departments (and received international secondments to Linklaters’ offices in Moscow and Warsaw). He has represented domestic and international clients in cross-border M&A, private equity/venture capital transactions, as well as lenders and
borrowers in secured and unsecured investments, leveraged finance and emerging markets (syndicated, club and bilateral loans), mezzanine and debt restructuring.

George is a member of the Executive Board of the Polish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Supervisory Board of Hermes (the organization of Greek entrepreneurs in Poland). George works closely with the Canadian Embassy in Poland.
George has provided numerous workshops for the British Law Centre in Poland and has been a guest lecturer at a Polish University for many years.
