tARvel combines a platform for creating personalized touristic routes for archives and museums as well as a cross-platform mobile application for tourists. Touristic routes are presented in an interactive form using augmented reality technology. The project aims at attracting more people to learn the history of their native city and region including the younger generation by presenting the history in an interactive and fun way beneficial for both institutions and tourists. As well as promoting sustainable mobility through storytelling by providing recommendations on choosing the most suitable way to get to each location.
