Short description: People don’t need data, they need information. There’s no process currently in place which would allow the municipality to share their raw data in an informative way regularly with citizens/decision-makers. Looking at the available data & presenting it effectively is a key to an information society.
Market potential: Every municipality/public institution can benefit – transparency, user(citizen)-friendly communication and informative, but easy-to understand data dissemination aren’t widespread.
Timing: Sharing information visually (e.g. by infographics) happens on a case-by-case basis, but there’s no systematic progress in the situation. The city is ready to discuss any solution presenting itself.
Desired result: An information interface (dashboard) capable of receiving raw (static and real time) data and displaying the selected values not just in an aesthetic, but an interpretive way – drawing inferences – automatically (with modifying options to edit it based on the target group of the information).
